To rule the world, you need a heart, not a sword;
It’s true that the hand that rocks the cradle, rules the whole world.
From sleeping to standing, from cooking to sweeping;
All she can think of is the little, gentle breaths of the baby sleeping.
Motherhood, they say, is one of the most difficult jobs on Earth;
After all, we even call the Earth as ‘Mother Earth’.
The mother sacrifices everything, just for the sake of the child;
She acts like everything, from a critic to a guide.
She sleeps & wake up thinking about his safety, his life;
She dare not bring a meter near him, a needle or a knife.
She is the one the most concerned;
No matter whether illiterate or learned.
Doing the job of an alarm clock, a companion and a teacher too;
She is the one who taught me to tie my shoe.
Enduring the criticism and focused on only one thing;
That is her child’s future and making better his manners of living.
Crossing every hurdle to protect her child from wrongs;
She serves him with her hands, although she could use a pair of tongs.
Investing time, energy, money, what not;
Just to see happy her beloved tot.
Any combination of 26 letters is insufficient to correctly describe a mother;
After all, she’s your beloved Mother and not just any other.
